What is Flexi-Fi & how does it work?

We’re a retail instalment payment plan facility! In simple terms, we’re an easy alternative to paying with cash or credit card for goods offered by our Retail Partners.

If you’re planning on making a purchase of over €1,000 at any of our Retail Partner Stores, Flexi-Fi can cover the cost of your purchase, allowing you  pay for  your goods in monthly instalments over a fixed term. It’s that simple!

Complete a Flexi-Fi application (please ensure that you are not using Internet Explorer) and we will assess it for you in less than 15 minutes*.  If you are approved for finance with FlexiFi, you can use this approval to make purchases in multiple Retail Partner Stores!

 

Am I eligible for Flexi-Fi finance?

To be eligible for Flexi-Fi you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Be an Irish citizen or permanent resident of Ireland

  • Earn a minimum taxable income of €21,000 per year

  • Have a current credit / debit card and a Photo ID

  • Have a good credit history

All applications are subject to assessment.

 

Applying for Flexi-Fi

Flexi-Fi applications are made online through our website, Visit Flexi-Fi

If you prefer, you can visit your chosen Retail Partner Store where you can ask a salesperson about the application process. Once you’ve submitted an application, one of our Credit Officers will assess it and get back to you within 10 minutes*.

Unfortunately, we do not accept joint applications. To make an application for Flexi-Fi, you’ll need to enter your own income, expenses and personal information.

 

Documents Required

The application is completed online, and during this process you’ll be asked to upload a photo ID – we can accept a passport, driver’s license and Garda Age Card.

If your application is assessed by a credit officer, they may request additional documentation from you, but generally this would only be a recent bank statement or payslip.

If you have been approved, you won’t need to bring any documentation with you to complete your purchase. All you will need is your mobile phone and a valid credit/debit card to set up the repayment facility.

*Within business hours. Outside of business hours, assessment times may be greater

 

How do I resume my application?

If you have not fully submitted your application for assessment, you can resume and complete the application through our website, provided you have received a Resume Code. This code appears in the Privacy email you would have received when you requested your Consent Code.

You’ll need to click “Resume an existing application” and enter your Resume Code.

Please note, if your application has already been submitted for assessment, it can’t be resumed. If you need to submit additional documents, simply reply to the email you’ve received from us, or send the relevant documents to documents@flexifi.com with your full name in the subject line.

 

Why have you requested my PPS number?

We are required, under the Credit Reporting Act to request each applicant’s PPS number. For more information visit http://www.cscu.ie/ccr

 

I've been approved! What's next?

To complete the process, you’ll now need to visit the Retail Partner Store where you wish to make a purchase. Once you’re in-store, a salesperson will identify your application on their system using your mobile phone number only. They will also talk you through your repayment and term options, and assist you with setting your agreement.

You won’t need to provide your bank details, just make sure you’ve got a credit or debit card with you and an ID, and we can complete your purchase within minutes. Your monthly repayments will then be debited from the card provided. To amend these details after your purchase has been made, simply visit My Account

My application has been declined. How do I reapply?

We’re sorry to hear that we haven’t been able to offer you Flexi-Fi at this time. Unfortunately, we cannot discuss the reason for your decline, but we would be happy to assess a new application six months from the date of your original application. Simply submit a new application through This Apply Link  at that time.

 

How much will my Flexi-Fi repayments be?

Repayment options vary depending on which Retail Partner you’ve chosen for your purchase, and also on your chosen repayment term. Visit  our partners store page , select a store, click “Get a Quote”, enter an amount and a quote will automatically be generated onscreen.

How will Flexi-Fi / The retail partner store identify my account?

You won’t need to remember any fiddly account numbers – just provide your name and mobile number listed on your application and we’ll be able to identify your account.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

You do not need to pay a deposit; however, an application fee of €35 will be required at time of purchase. You may also make an upfront payment to the account if you wish.

How do you take payment?

Your application fee is processed using the card details provided at time of purchase. The card you nominate will automatically be selected as your default method of payment for recurring payments (monthly repayments). If you wish to amend your card details, you can do this quickly and easily at myaccount.flexifi.com

Are there any fees associated with my application?

There’s an application fee paid up front upon purchase of the goods (€35) and a monthly fee to run your account (€3.50). These fees are included in your credit and payment schedules and itemised on your payment schedule so you know exactly how much you are paying.

I've made a purchase, but I haven't used my full approval limit

If you wish to begin a new contract to use the remainder of your approval limit, simply visit the Retail Partner Store that you wish to make a purchase in, and provide your mobile number. The Retail Partner Store will be able to locate your details on their system and begin a new contract for you.

Please note that there is a minimum purchase amount of €1,000 for each new contract. You will also be subject to a €35 application fee for setting up the new contract and your monthly repayments will be charged separately to your repayments on the original contract.

When do my repayments start?

Your first monthly repayment will be due one month after you purchase your goods.

This means, if your goods were purchased on the 20th, your first repayment will be due on the 20th of the following month.

If you wish to change your repayment date at any time, please send an email to enquiries@flexifi.com detailing the desired repayment date, your name and mobile number. Please note that any amendment to your repayment date may result in an increase in your repayment amount (normally just by a few cents).

Do you need my bank account details?

No, we just require a current credit or debit card to finalise your agreement. To validate your card, we may run an authorisation payment.

Can I pay off my Flexi-Fi agreement early?

Yes, you can pay off your Flexi-Fi Agreement early without any additional fees or charges. You will only pay the balance owing (including interest) up until the point of closure.

You can make additional payments at any time, and you can do this as often as you like – simply log in to your online customer portal  (you will have received an email about logging in when you made your purchase), and clicking on your agreement number, and click making a “One-Off Payment”. As we said, you can do this is as often as you like!

How do I update my card details for payment?

Amending your card details is easy through your online portal. Simply visit myaccount.flexifi.com and click on your agreement number. Your online portal also gives you the option to make a one-off payment, request a statement and change your address.

How do I make a one-off payment?

Simply visit your online portal at myaccount.flexifi.com and click on your agreement number. You can also check your balance in your online portal.

I can't access my online portal- can you help?

Sure! Visit your online portal , myaccount.flexifi.com and hit “Forgot your password”. Enter the email address that you used to make your application and we will send you a link to reset your password. Simple!

Is Flexi-Fi associated with Flexirent?
